Detailed Santa meets Copper Foil sheets

When I saw the new Copper Foil sheets and this Santa thinlit, I just knew they would go together.....and so easy! I used copper embossing powder for the sentiment as well. I also added the sentiment inside using the copper embossing powder.

Canning Tomatoes

Where has this past week gone? I can't believe I haven't posted in a week but I've been super busy. One of the main things was canning salsa, sauce and tomatoes. I had some very generous neighbors who had had enough of their tomatoes and wanted to know if I would like some. I had these and just now pulling 12 more pints out of the canner. I know I've canned over 60 jars. It's been so many years since I have canned anything that I had to run out and buy some jars. These will sure be nice this winter and great gifts to have on hand for special occasions.........Now back to card making!!

Detailed Santa

I love this adorable Santa thinlit. You'll find him in the new Holiday catalog. You can get yours on September 1st. He is pretty fast to make. I used a piece of cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". The piece of paper I used for the Santa is cut at 5 1/4" x 4" as well as the printed paper from the new Warmth and Cheer Designer Series Paper Stack. I topped off this card with the beautiful new Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon. The picture doesn't do this beautiful ribbon justice. It has the most delicate edging on it.

Here are a couple more ideas that I used for the Santa as well.

Merry Mice

Hi Stampers,

This is a brand new set from Stampin Up's new Holiday catalog which goes live on September 1st. This stamp set is called Merry Mice. Every since I can remember I have been DEATHLY afraid of mice....yes, I mean so afraid of them that I remember one night when I saw one in my home several years ago late at night I even stuffed a towel under my bedroom door. We saw it go into the bathroom so we set a trap and stuffed a towel under that door too and we were lucky enough to catch it. When I worked at United Airlines on the ramp, we would get them in cargo and I would have to help unload them. OMG, they gave me the willies!! So I even surprised myself when I saw this stamp set and actually wanted to get it......well that's because I knew how cute they would be watercolored. So I've had fun the past few days making a few of these cards.

I started out with a Basic Grey base cut at 8 1/2"x 5 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4". The 2nd layer was cut in Basic Black at 5 1/4"x 4". The third layer is cut at 4 3/4"x 3 1/2". The watercolor paper is cut at 3"x 2 1/4". I watercolored the little mouse after I stamped it with Black Archival ink. I finished it off with some twine and wire.

You're Sweet as Can Bee Spinner

Hello Everyone,

Today I made a spinner card using the Sliding Stars Framelits and Shooting Star stamp set. These really make cute interactive cards. I used a So Saffron base of 8.5"x 5.5". The first layer was Crumb Cake cut to 5 1/4" x 4". Then I used the framelit with the circle and after that I ran it through the embossing folder. I stamped with Archival black the little bees and honeycomb and I used the discontinued Blendabilities to color the bees.
