Happy New Years Eve

Happy New Years Eve Everyone.....and is it ever a cold one. Right now the temp tells me -2 degrees with the windchill of -18 degrees...way too cold for me. I was out shoveling my sidewalk and driveway this morning for about an hour and I had to come in 3 times to get warmed up. When I finally came in for good, I could hardly feel my fingertips. Doesn't take long in this weather to get frostbit. Good day for some stamping.

I enjoyed making this Valentine card. It has some different measurements so I'll give you the details:

Card Base is cut at 5.5" x 4.25" in Berry Burst
The strip on the base is 5.25" x 1 5/8" cut from the DSP
The bottom strip is 11" x 2.25" cut from Berry Burst. It's scored at 5.5" and is wrapped around the base of the card and adhered to the back. The front of it is left open.
The 5.5" piece that makes up the front of the card has a piece of DSP adhered to the front that is 5.25" x 2".
I embossed the heart with gold embossing powder on whisper white card stock and adhered it to a piece of DSP that is cut at 2 3/8" x 2 3/8". Those 2 pieces go on top of a piece of Berry Burst cut at 2.5" x 2.5" and then just the bottom of that 2.5" piece of Berry Burst is adhered to the front. Remember not to run your tape runner all the way to the top of that piece or you will have the whole thing adhered shut.

Sure do Love You

I Sure do Love You.....but boy do I hate this cold weather that has come our way! Tomorrow we are showing -20 with the wind chill so another perfect day to stay inside and do some stamping! I finally got down to my stamp room this afternoon and created these 2 cards. I love the background on these cards and perfect for any occasion.

Here's the details:

Card stock base is 8.5"x 5.5" and scored at 4.25".
First layer is Glossy white and cut at 5.25"x4"
Stamp up your Marbled back ground stamp in Cherry Cobbler and stamp your glossy white piece. This will stay moist for a little bit so then I poured gold embossing powder on a few areas. I don't cover the whole piece with embossing powder. Heat set and when it is done, take a sponge or dauber dipped in Cherry Cobbler and go over the entire front. Take a rag or paper towel and wipe over the front. It's beautiful!!
Such a fun project to do and look at your beautiful card.

At Home Bundle

This is one of my Christmas cards I enjoyed making and sending this year. I had a lot of fun with the new Stampin Blends. It's a lot of little pieces to die cut but it sure makes it worthwhile for the finished card.
