Wrapped in Love

The new copper paper has to be one of my favorites. What a striking color. I don't think pictures do it any justice. This was a super easy card to make. The base is 8.5" x 5.5 inches and scored at 4 1/4". The copper foil is cut at 4" x 5 1/4".

Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies

The Halloween Scenes Edgelits Dies are so versatile for many occasions and I used these to make my Thank you cards from my Open House. I made a total of 26. When you are doing that many at once, I like to do an assembly line.  I cut out everything at first and then assembled my cards. I flew out to my sister's home in Loveland, Colorado last week so I had most of the scarecrows stamped and I colored them on the plane. Sure makes the time go by fast. I'm showing 2 of them a little closer up so you can see how I reversed the colors for the tree and fence. Which one do you prefer? For the moon, I took the 2" circle punch and then sponged the edges with Pumpkin Pie to add some character to it.

This was also a great way to use up some retired Halloween DSP
as well. These really were a lot of fun to make and of course I sooo appreciated everyone who came to my Open House.

Copper Foil

The copper foil in the new catalog is just stunning. I love the matching embossing powder as well. For this card, I used Cucumber Crush for the base and the first layer was Crumb Cake. I took the copper foil and embossed it with the new Holly embossing folder. Beautiful. The card is actually so much prettier if you see it yourself than in the picture. I used the mini stripped ribbon in Cucumber Crush to accent the card.

Tenth Annual Open House

Hi Stampers,

I just held my 10th Annual Open House last night and today. I had a great crowd this year and some wonderful sales. I did a ton of baking/cooking too. The ladies that come always seem to enjoy this get together. Beings I sell Gold Canyon Candles as well as Stampin Up, I incorporate the two. Below are some pictures I took before the fun began!

Last Sunday my 2 granddaughters came over and helped me make these adorable spooky creatures.

Then I made a Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake.....so yummy!!

                                     And some Pumpkin bars

I also made some chicken salad served on croissants, a hot corn/pepper dip served with chips, and rhubarb bars. And last but not least I couldn't forget the chilled wine!!

The girls helped me carry all my goodies upstairs. Boy were they a lot of help!! It was a lot of trips up and down those steps!
I always have a clearance table or one of a kind table.

Lots of seasonal Gold Canyon Candles and the new Jewelry and warmers.

I spent many hours making Stampin Up items. The hot sellers seemed to be the Popcorn boxes.

And each person that walked through the door got one of these cute bags!!

I hoped you enjoyed my tour of my Open House.

Pumpkin with Thoughtful Branches

This stamp set just couldn't get any more versatile could it? The cute ideas I have seen with it. This version I got from Kim Jolley. You take the hydrangea die and turn it upside down for a pumpkin!!! The base is Early Espresso and then the first layer is Very Vanilla. I stamped the VV piece and the pumpkin with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso with a piece from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. Then I ran the VV piece through the Woodland Textured Impressions embossing folder. The stem from the pumpkin is the tree stump slimmed down. This is such a great fall card. Product List
