Halloween Begger's Night

Here in Iowa they celebrate Begger's Night the night before Halloween. We used to call it Trick or Treating when I was a kid. They always celebrate it the night before Halloween. Although I've lived in Iowa  since 1987, I still find it unusual to celebrate Trick or Treating before the actual day. I got some cute shots of the grandkids last night when they came over. Tonight we are celebrating a wedding for some very nice people so I will post pictures of that tomorrow. We are all dressing up in costumes for this celebration.

Today I'd like to show you this adorable shaker card I made using the Thankful Forest Friends. I used some little paper leaves and a wooden leaf in the shaker part. I stamped the Give Thanks in Early Expresso Love this little fox!!

Autumn Wishes Stamp Class

We will be making 4 projects. One greeting card, one gusset bag, one pillow box and one treat bag. You will receive all the supplies to make these cute Fall items plus a sponge dauber for your $12. Candy is not included. Please bring:

Fangtastic #2

This is card #2 that I made like the following post but stamped a little differently. These little creatures look like they are really hiding behind the trees. I found this idea from Gail Etchie.  I used Memento Ink and stamped on the embossing folder on the Sizzix side and then used markers and sponged the top with Soft Suede. I have mixed feelings which one I like best.

Have a Fangtastic Halloween

How fun are these 2? Mr. Vampire and Ms. Witch. I stamped them on white card stock and colored them with markers and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Woodland Impressions Embossing Folder. Then I took soft suede and sponged it over the trees and branches.

Owl Gift Bag

I can't believe how time gets away. It's been so long since I have posted but I have been doing a little bit of traveling this past month. I found this ADORABLE owl gift bag on Pinterest and couldn't help but make several. 

Here are the directions:

 Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper 10" High x 12" Long and follow the directions on the Gift Bag Punch Board to make a Large Bag. Score at 2.5" on top and fold over. Then cut at an angle to form the beak.

                                                                                                                                                            

• Punch 2  2.5" circles from coordinating paper
• Punch 2  2" circles from Very Vanilla card stock
• Cut a triangle for the owl's beak
• Cut an oval shape. I used the 3rd from the largest Framelits 
• Spooky word

Enjoy!!!! They really go together fast.
