Watercolor Hydrangea

I just can't seem to get enough of this Thoughtful Branches stamp set and die. I'm sure getting my money's worth. This time I water colored the hydrangea. I used my Aqua Painter and reinker and just painted away. You can really come up with some beautiful colors. Myself, I like to wet down the watercolor paper first and then apply my color. Here's the details:

  • The base cardstock is Rich Razzleberry cut at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5.5".
  • Second layer is Old Olive cut at 5 1/4" x 4".
  • Third layer is Serene Scenery DSP cut at 5" x 3 3/4".
  • I cut 2 of the Hydrangea...one in Rich Razzleberry and one in water color paper. I layered the water color one on top of the plain Rich Razzleberry one to offset it a bit. I added clear Wink of Stella and basic pearls.
  • Stem and leaf is Old Olive.

Watercolor Thoughtful Branches

The water coloring on this card reminds me of a tie dyed shirt. The base is whisper white and the 1st layer is Pear Pizzazz, with the third layer being watercolor paper. I put the reinker on pretty heavy with Perfect Plum. I cut 2 of the hydrangeas out, both in white. I stamped the one in the back with Wisteria Wonder and the front one in Perfect Plum. I thought it was too white for my liking, so I sponged Perfect Plum on top. I used the Fringe Scissors across the bottom. The little birdie was stamped in Bermuda Bay. I then topped off the hydrangea with tiny rhinestone. I just love this Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

Touches of Texture

I had this card base and layer cut out for several weeks. Now I can't even remember what I was going to make with it!! LOL! I saw my Touches of Texture stamp set sitting there and I knew I had been itching to make something with it! The base is basic black and then I used watermelon wonder for the layer and just started stamping away with basic black. I added some sequins, rhinestone basic jewels and some black baker's twine and came up with this:

Sunburst Thinlits

WOW!!! Do these colors ever POP!! They are so pretty together. I used Melon Mambo for the card base and embossed the front with the Large Polka Dot embossing folder. The Sunburst thinlit is cut out in Daffodil Delight. The Happy Birthday was cut out with the Party Pop-Up thinlit die once in whisper white and then again in Melon Mambo and topped off with some dainty pearls. I think any age would be excited to receive this birthday card.

Swirly Scribbles

I needed some Get Well cards so I came up with this design. I used Lost Lagoon for the base and then the first layer I used Soft Suede. I stamped the top layer with the Hardwood stamp also in Soft Suede. The words and the Birthday banner piece were also stamped in Soft Suede. I topped off the swirly's and the leaves with Wink of Stella. Love, love , love that little pen.
