Wetlands
I was so inspired by how simple this card was when I saw it on Pinterest. O my, and that paper is just so adorable. Really a very simple card. The paper is from the brand new catalog called Serene Scenery Cardstock Pack. The whisper white base is cut at 11 x 4 1/4" and scored at 5 1/2". The first layer, Bermuda Bay is cut at 5 1/4"x 4" and the DSP is cut at 5" x 3 3/4". Stamp the birds and the saying on and you are done!! I added a few sequins on top.

Sitting Here
This swing reminds me of one my sister had at her farmhouse when they lived in Nebraska and what a delight it was to sit on it and chat away. We had many fond memories of that swing. From early in the morning to late at night we would swing away and visit. Even our little ones would enjoy it.
The background paper is from the Serene Scenery Desiger Series Paper Stack....oh how I love that paper. This particular one reminds me of old siding.
I used blendabilities to color in everything on the card. Yes, they are discontinued but I still love them. So I'll keep using them until they dry up. You can also use Stampin Write Markers. Here are the details:
I hope you enjoyed this card and it brings back many memories for you as well.

I used blendabilities to color in everything on the card. Yes, they are discontinued but I still love them. So I'll keep using them until they dry up. You can also use Stampin Write Markers. Here are the details:
- Base is whisper white cut at 8.5"x 5.5" and scored at 4 1/4"
- DSP is cut at 5 1/4" x 4"
- I stamped all the pieces with black Memento ink, colored them with blendabilities and fussy cut them out. I adhered them to the DSP with dimensionals.
- The saying was cut in strips and adhered with dimensionals as well.
I hope you enjoyed this card and it brings back many memories for you as well.

Biggest Birthday Ever
This cone sure reminds me a lot of rainbow sherbet. Boy would it taste good right now when the temperature outside is sweltering towards 90 degrees here in central Iowa or when my grandson, Logan, had a baseball game this morning and it was getting a bit warm out there by the time the game got over. For this card I cut the base of Sweet Sugarplum at 4 1/4" x 11" and scored at 5 1/2". The next layer in Peekaboo Peach was cut at 5 1/4"x 4". The water color paper is cut at 5" x 4 3/4". I took some Sweet Sugarplum and with my Aqua painter, I just went back and forth over the water color paper. I let it dry good and then stamped the cone in Rich Razzleberry Ombre. I stamped again with Versamark and put clear embossing powder on top and heat set it. For the sherbet, I stamped it in the Rich Razzleberry, put Heat and Set on top, Dazzling Diamonds on top of that and heat set it so the dazzling diamonds would stay in place. The "sweet" word was cut out with Peekaboo Peach 3 times and glued together. Then I used the In Color Enamel shapes on top.
My handsome grandson, Logan.

Wish Big
These cupcakes look yummy enough to eat. I used the frosting technique that I learned at convention from Sara Douglas. Recipe below. This stamp set is a 3 step process but such a fun process. The cupcake frosting was highlighted with Wink of Stella. I know it's hard to see in this picture but the actual frosting is very sparkly.
Recipe for Frosting
- 1/8 cup cornstarch
- 1 Tablespoon white acrylic craft paint
- 1 Tablespoon Multipurpose glue
- 10 drops of reinker color of your choice
- Add small amount of water
- Stir until dissolved and apply to clear block and then dip your stamp in it.

Fruit Stand DSP
Good Morning Everyone!
I loved working with this lemon paper so much from the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper that I incorporated the lemon stamp from the Apple of My Eye stamp set (discontinued). That beautiful ribbon is discontinued as well but I still love the texture of it and needed to get some of those things used up. I stamped the lemon in Daffodil Delight on watercolor paper, spritzed it with water, put some clear embossing powder on top and heat set it. I think this card reminds me of the first day of summer (today) and it's so refreshing, just like lemonade.

Pretty Peachy
I've been playing with the stamp set called Fresh Fruit from the new catalog. Love this set and of course I love embossing so this fits right in. I used VersaMark on the fruit, spritzed with water and then embossed with clear embossing powder and heat set it. If you watch my video on the prior post, you can see how it is done.
This card I just regular embossed. No water spritzing.

Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies by Stampin’ Up!
I have so many beautiful new products to pick from this new catalog, I don't know where to start!! So I chose the Detailed Floral Thinlits Die and the Floral Phrases stamp set. I wrapped some white bakers twine over the first layer and then unraveled it. This would make such a beautiful wedding card. If you watch the video below, you will see how easy it is to use this thinlit.

Oh Happy Day
Hi Everybody,
I haven't posted for the past few days because I've been too busy going to my grandkids' baseball and softball games. A total of 6 since Friday. I sure do enjoy watching them play and Lanee's team won the tournament they were in this weekend so there were some pretty excited girls.
I just love the simplicity of this card...not to mention how fast it was to make. But what I love even more is how beautiful this paper stack is. It's called Serene Scenery Designers Series Paper Stack and it's in the new catalog. O my goodness, there are so many beautiful scenes in this stack. I hope you think the paper is as pretty as I do!
