Zany Zebras meet Fabric
I was so inspired with this project after I saw a video of Brandy Cox working with fabric and cards. Here are the details:
- Card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Scored at 4 1/4" in thick whisper white.
- With the Zebra card in Purple, the second layer is Black and cut at 5 3/8" x 4 1/8".
- Third layer in Purple is cut at 5 1/4" x 4" and iron on to Heat n Bond. Peel off the back and iron on to fabric. In this case the Zebra stripe. Run it through an embossing folder of your choice. I used Old World Embossing folder. Glue this entire piece to the first layer.
- The fourth layer is 3 3/4" x 3" thick whisper white. Iron Heat n Bond to one side of cardstock. Peel off backing and iron on to white T shirt. Run this piece through an embossing folder. Mount this piece with dimensionals.
- I cut a triangle shape and banner from the Stitched Triangles using the new Rainbow Glimmer Paper. Glue these 2 pieces on top of your white T shirt material.
- Stamp Zebra and hat with Black Memento or your color choice on thick whisper white and fussy cut. Adhere with dimensionals.
95th Happy Birthday card
One of my best friend's Mother just turned 95 and I wanted to make a very special card for Elsie. I have known this family for many years. Dixie and I went to Highschool together and I was her maid of honor at their wedding. So her Mother was very special to me.
Isn't the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper so beautiful? It makes the most beautiful cards. Here's the details for this card.
- Mint Macaron is cut at 7" x 5 1/2" and scored at 2 3/4". This is your card base.
- 2 pieces of foil are 5 3/8" x 2 5/8" and 5 3/8" x 1 5/8".
- One layer of DSP is cut at 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" and the other DSP is cut at 5 1/4" x 1 1/2"
- Inside white layer is 5 3/8" x 2 3/4"
- 2 pieces DSP and Mint Macaron are cut with the Stitched Nested Labels.
